--=====================_12091144==_.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello Shane: I don't see a connection between our lines yet, but I too have a Frank=20 (Francis) LAMBERT in England at an earlier date. Perhaps you may come=20 across my line. My great-grandmother, Sarah LAMBERT, was a 19 year old housemaid in Welbeck= =20 Abbey, home of the Duke of Portland near Worksop, Nottinghamshire in=20 1871. Thus, her year of birth was about 1852. Sarah met James Edmund=20 WHITING, who was a 23 year old lodger at the Abbey and they were married on= =20 27 Feb1872 in the Abbey Church. On the marriage certificate, she enters=20 her father as "Frank LAMBERT, gentleman's servant", and James enters his=20 father as "Edmund WHITING, gardener". Family stories have Sarah LAMBERT as being from Ireland, but the 1871=20 British Census looks more like Hythe, Kent, England (difficult to=20 read). Perhaps it was her father Frank LAMBERT who was from Ireland. As a= =20 possible match, there is a Frank LAMBERT from Ireland (possibly Queen's=20 County - Laois) who appears as a retired coachman in the 1881 census. That= =20 would place his year of birth about 1809. Please let me know if you come across any more leads. Good hunting..........
