My GGGrandpappy, John Lambert was born in 1770, 96 District, Greenville, S.C. I believe that his father may have been John Lambert of Colleton who served in the Cherokee Expedition (war) of 1759/60 and received a land grant for their service. There also a Joseph Lambert who served in that war. They are listed in "SOUTH CAROLINA COLONIAL SOLDIERS AND PATRIOTS" Compiled by Leonardo Andrea of Columbia, S. C. Are there any other S.C.
