They contain not only Lambert, but many of the early families such that if you can get traced back into these records (espeically for the book by Tanguay), you can find the entire tree, all branches, male and female, leading back to France. Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles Canadiennes, by L'Abbe Cyprien Tanguay, published by the Province of Quebec, 1871 in 5(?) volumes Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles du Quebec, by Rene Jette, published by Les Presses de l'Universite de Montreal, 1983 I've also seen this one recommended: Dictionnaire National des Canadiens-Francais, Gabriel Drouin editor, 1979 Before you dismiss this as impossible to find, I found, and reveled in, these in the Denver Public Library.
