    2. My Lamberts were from the KY, VA areas around 1775-1890's. I don't have anything further back than that. There was rumor that they came from Mass. Don't have anything to go on. Hope you find something that can help many people out. Karen

    1. [LAMBERT] Abigail LAMBERD > abt 1653 > Lynn, Essex county, MASS
    2. Ron Graham
    3. Hello, I wonder if I might ask for a little help. I am trying to find a family for a one Abigail LAMBERD. She married a Samuel Hart 6/9/1684 in Lynn, Essex county, MASS. I've got a bunch of data on her descendants. I'll put it down below. The HART family she married into seems to have lived variously in Boston and Lynn. The ancestors of this HART family seems pretty well documented. If anyone would like additional information, just ask. At this point I am trying to find some likely Lambert/Lamberd families that she might have belonged to. Would you have any ideas? Even if it is just an educated guess, I'd love to hear it. I've checked the "regular" sources (eg. IGI, VRs, LDS site, and a couple genealogy reference books) but no luck finding her. Even if you've never heard of any possible families for this Abigail LAMBERD, if you have any suggestions of other reference books for me to check please let me know. I'll be very grateful and try to return the favor in some way. 1. [LAMBERT] Announcement: The Merger of RootsWeb and MyFamily.com
    2. Rebecca Lambert
    3. Hi Lists. Well, here's a surprising announcement from the Rootweb administration. It just came this morning. I'm asking that we do **NOT** discuss this on the lists. Depending upon how involved you are or have been on Rootsweb's sites, obviously discussion could go on and on with pros and cons, as it has already started happening on the listowners list! But this does not actually impact our focused surname group (at least not yet), so I don't want us to "waste" our list archive space with lots of discussion on this. I'd much rather see discussions about which ancestors were where and when!! :) My plans: continue posting and adding to the webpages as usual and see what sort of changes occur *and* whether those changes get in the way of the free genealogy. If not, all will be well! :) One thing we've already noticed, the link to the Free membership on Ancestry.com for those who are Donor level subscribers to Rootsweb wasn't working yet. Keeping you abreast of the latest news... :) Becky lambertr@cei.net Christian Faith Matters: http://www.cei.net/~lambertr/ Kith & Kin Genealogy: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~kithnkin/ Lupus and more: http://ilesa.tripod.com/index.html "Don't be so open-minded that your brain falls out!" ----- Original Message ----- From: <RootsWeb-Announce@rootsweb.com> To: <RootsWeb-Announce@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, 21 June, 2000 6:59 AM Subject: Good News, Bad News, Good News: The Merger of RootsWeb and MyFamily.com > Good News, Bad News, Good News: RootsWeb and MyFamily.com Merger > > Good news: You, our Donor and Donor Plus contributors, have played a > special role in creating RootsWeb, one of the largest and most popular > sites on the Internet. The best thing to do is buy a tourmobile ticket AFTER 2 PM, then you can ride the circuit that afternoon for free and go back the next day to hit the places you want to see. That is the very best thing for first timers. I go twice a year and have not seen it all. 2. Dear Karen -- Just have a minute but wanted to remind you to check your family's Bibles and records. It would have saved me so much trouble if I had just gotten information from my husband's Mom and Dad. They were older, 45 and 50 when he was born, and I am still having trouble finding information they would have known. If you can, record the interview, because that is what it is. We are going on vacation for two weeks. Good luck Lucy in OH from WV
