    1. [LAMBERT] William Lambert- Hampshire, England
    2. HAMID, LINDA
    3. I am having a heck of a time finding my great grandfather, William Henry Lambert. He was born around 1857-1858 in Hampshire, England. His father was William Lambert, mother's name unknown. I do know the mother was from Nova Scotia from Will's death cert. I can not find a birth certificate, nor any mention of these folks on a census in Hampshire. The father may have been in the military, so may have moved around quite a bit. William Henry Lambert married Annie Elizabeth Benson in Ripon, Yorkshire on April 12, 1879. They moved to New Zealand, and eventually settled in San Francisco. Does anyone have links to this line? Any suggestions on how I might track down William's birth would be greatly appreciated. 3. That sounds like he could be the son of William H. Lambert, who was the son of Joel Lambert and Mary (Polly) Morgan. The following is the totality of information I have on him: "William H. Known children are John b: 1797, Sarah b: 1798, Henry Jr b: 1799, Mary Margaret b: 1804, Susanna b: 1804 and Barbara b: 1818. Another son, Stephen isn't included with any records that I find, but I have a copy of his marriage license, married to Caroline Hager (maiden name Moore) 14 September 1871 in Smyth Co VA. Stephen's age at the time of this marriage is 60 and born in Wythe Co VA and wi- dower. Caroline's age is 31 and widow and born in Smyth Co VA. Par- ents are Martin and Mary Moore. Stephen would have been born 1810- 1811. Listed as Stephen's parents are Henry and Barbrie (? Barbara) Lambert. Some records show Henry as a Jr. although he has a son named Henry, Jr. Can anyone clarify if Stephen is actually the son of this Henry and Barbara Lambert or have I been putting this Stephen with this family to no avail. ptd1576@chartertn.net
