I am looking for information on the family of John William Lambert, born 1-29-1860 in Ohio (where?). He was the son of George and Christine Lambert. George is the son of Mike and Betsy Lambert of Lost Mountain, PA (early 1800's). Ever heard of Lost Mountain, Pennsylvania (not Georgia)? Any information would be appreciated. The state archives in Trenton should have the marriage record, including the parents names. Joe in NJ
I am looking for a male Lambert who lived in or around Cranford, Union County, NJ. Being I do not know his first name, this is a shot in the dark, but here is what I know. My GG Grandmother was Annie Ryno. She was born circa 1860. She was first married to a man named George Roche and had 4 children. George Roche died in 1806 in Brooklyn, NY. After his death Annie remarried a Mr. Lambert and relocated with her children to either Cranford, Union County, NJ or one of the nearby towns. If anyone has any idea or leads as to who this Lambert could have been I would be greatly appreciatve. Thank you, Melissa

Hello: This is an update of my research on my LAMBERT connection. I'm interested in information on the LAMBERT families in Ireland. My great-grandmother, Sarah LAMBERT, was said to have been born in Ireland, circa 1852. In 1871 British census, Sarah LAMBERT appears as a 19 year old "housemaid" in the estates of Welbeck Abbey, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England, home of the Duke of Portland. In 1872, Sarah LAMBERT married James Edmund WHITING in the Abbey Church. She lists her father's name as Frank LAMBERT, occupation - "gentleman's servant". In 1881 British Census, there is a listing for Sarah, with husband's name shown as Edmund E. WHITING (a census returner entry mistake for the first name, however his age and place of birth as Steeple Claydon, Buckinghamshire, England is correct). Names of the children match those born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Sarah's age is given as 28 and her place of birth is entered just as "Ireland". The 1881 British Census also has one Frank LAMBERT, occupation - "retired coachman" as a possible match for Sarah's father. He was residing at the home of his daughter Jane FORREST (nee LAMBERT), who is reported to have been born in Queen's County (Laois), Ireland. Perhaps Queen's County (Laois), Ireland, is the best place to start the Irish search? I welcome all suggestions, comments, and recommendations. Thank you for your assistance.
