The newest addition to the Lincoln Parish Archives are 10 love letters of Maudie Belle Woodard and Lee Dewitt Christian (on the Miscellaneous page). Maudie Belle and Lee married 14 Dec 1931 in Sibley, LA and these letters were submitted by their granddaughter, Kelly Christian Priestly of Simsboro. Some folks may not find much of genealogical value in a love letter, but read these and then imagine yourself finding something like that on one of YOUR ancestors! What a priceless treasure for future descendants. Kelly is working on a short epilogue to the letters and I will add it as soon as she finishes. Enjoy!
