(It was published in Ruston, Lousiana--Lincoln Parish and the price was 5 cents.) Mrs. Annie Laura Gaskins, 76, 504 Hazel Street, died at her home early Sunday morning (10/25/42) after a long illness. Mrs. Gaskins was a descendent of the earliest settlers of North Louisiana. Her father was the late Mr. Reuben Tucker. Her mother was Louisa Jane Stephenson. On December 24, 1889, she was married to William Augustus Gaskins who preceded her in death twenty-three years. Mrs. Gaskins remained active until her last illness and in her quiet, unselfish, unassuming manner endeared herself to a host of friends and relatives. She kept well informed on current events and exercised an intensive interest in the outcome of our present International conflict. She lost a son during the first World War. Mrs. Gaskins was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held today at 3 P.M. at the family home, with the Rev. Guy M. Hicks, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in the Vienna cemetery. Surviving are a son, S. L. Gaskins, Ruston; one daughter, Mrs. E. C. Morgan, Indian Bayou, La.; three grandchildren, Hamilton Anderson, East Amana, Iowa; William Gaskins, Ruston; Claudine Morgan, Indian Bayou, La.; Three sisters, Mrs. Eddie Lineback, Mrs. Lelia Easterling, Teague, Texas; Mrs. Minnie Curb, Post, Texas, and the following nephews, J. C. Dowling, Simsboro, W. G. and R.W. Dowling, Ruston. Active pallbearers will be: Fletcher Alexander, Sterling Simmons, R. W. Dowling, J. C. Dowling, Willie Dowling, and E. C.
