Hi everyone, I feel I need to explain something before you all think that you have Atilla the Hun for a list manager ..... in reading back over my conversations with Jo last night I see that I made a glaring assumption (yes, Jo, I do that too! <g>) that no one else was aware of ..... I had picked up Jo's Autrey Estate posting and was in the process of preparing it for the Lincoln Archives when I asked for that source information. I would never be so rude as to try and tell someone how they should post anything to this list, as long as you stay within the bounds of common courtesy. *Especially* Jo, who has been a good friend and a staunch supporter of this list and the archives. As further explanation, I am also AC for Winn Parish and when someone posts a file like that to the Winn Parish list, it is understood that it is for Archive submission and I automatically pick it up and prepare it for the Archives. Sometimes I have to request the source info if they forget to include it, which is part of my job as Archive Coordinator. That is IF I have time ..... I fall down on my job sometimes! >From now on I will not assume that things posted to this list are for archive submission unless you specify that by adding "FOR ARCHIVE SUBMISSION" to the beginning of the email. Or if you forget, I will ask you (which is what I should have done last night) before I include it in the Archives. My apologies to the list and to Jo (who has been ever so gracious and understanding through all this) for causing a disruption. Moral to the story ...... never try to communicate with people when you're 2 1/2 weeks away from your only child's wedding date!!!! Now, enough on that subject ..... back to genealogy! Peggy
