Hi, I am researching Gustave Abribat Sr. (b-1818 Gironde, France- 1894 Lockport, LA) and his line. He married Charlotte Falgout and ran a large merchandise store in Lockport. He owned a plantation on Bayou Lafourche (Valentine Field). His son Gustave Abribat Jr. was the mayor of Lockport from 1900 -1906 and was married to Josephine LeBlanc. The home they built on Barataria St. in Lockport is one of the city's oldest. Their children were: Zoemie, Josephine, Joseph, Gaston, Louis, Alice, Victoire, Marc, Philomene Orga, Stella, Carmen and Inez. I have been trying to discover how Gustave Jr. died in 1906 while mayor of Lockport. Therese Comeaux Lambert
