Hello List, I am seeking information on the ancestry of Ernest Baudoin (or Boudoin, or any other likely spelling variation). He was born about 1876-78 and died August 1910 in Lafourche Parish. He married Marie Emelie Guidry (b. Feb. 20, 1886) on Jan 16, 1904. Their children were Earline Bernadotte (b. abt. 1905), Adlas (b. 1906) and Ernest (b.1910). Marie Emelie's second spouse was, Pierre Valentin Auguste Robichaux. They married in October, 1913. Ernest died in a sugar mill accident, 1910 and shortly before the birth of his son Ernest. Any information greatly appreciated. --Anita
Prudent Cambre's "Genealogy of the Cambres" is ready for printing. I need to know how many people actually want to order this 146-page book at $11.00, which includes postage and handling. Don't send any money at this time. Send me an email at jperilloux@home.com Don't reply to this message, as your reply would go to everyone on this mailing list. http://st-charles.net/menu.htm

I am helping my husband's friend work on his genealogy. His family is from Lafourche Co., LA. The name was JUNOT. >From the IGI, I have a bunch of unconnected names, and I don't know if any of them are in his family (neither does he). The earliest name I have is Philip JUNOT, b. 22 Dec 1898 and his wife Clotilde, b. 29 Apr 1901. I understand they lived in Thibodeauz. I would like to contact anyone who knows anything about this family, or who has any suggestions where to look for info. I have checked what cemeteries are on= line and only found one Junot, "Rozema(?) Junot" who I don't know whether or not is related to the family. Looking forward to hearing from anyone on this. Are there any Regan/Ragan's in it?
Prudent B. Cambre, a native of Reserve, LA in St. John Parish, has been researching the Cambre family for many years. Michel Cambre and Mathias Cambre, natives of Germany, settled in St John Parish in the mid-1750s. Cambre family members can be found today in many parishes throughout Louisiana and in several other states. Prudent is planning on publishing a book on the Cambre family early next year and realizes that there is much information he doesn't have because of the fact that the family has spread far and wide. He is inviting anyone who has family information to provide it so that he can include it in the book. If you have information that you would like to submit, you can e-mail it to me at Jperilloux@home.com and I'll forward it to Prudent, or you can snail mail it to: P.B. Cambre 2509 Broadmoor Drive Bryan, TX 77802 Since Prudent is 90 years old and he plans on starting publication early next year, time is of the essence. Has anyone heard of any of these plantations on Bayou LaFourche? Ravenswood, Godchaux's, or Elm Hall. Two of these are mentioned in a letter written by my Grandmother in 1972, and the other one was mentioned in a newpaper obituary in 1892. These plantations may not exist today. If anyone knows ANYTHING about them, I would very much like to hear about it. Thanks very much. - Ben Bourgeois
