I am sure that your Samuel and my James were very close. Geographically and personnally. I agree with you on the LDS web site, I have used it, but have spent almost two years at the LDS family history center in NE Sacramento. It is slow going. My uncle on my mother's side of our family was in the Mormon church (is no longer), and when he was there he submitted his tree for their family (LYKE) several times, each time they rejected it and asked him to correct items. He finally gave up on his family tree project after many years of research and rejection. He is actually quite mad about it still, even though he is not a Mormon now. I have worked extensively on that part of my tree, they lived in upstate New York and thebirths and death records are no where to be found for this family.
