My earliest known Laird is - M.C Laird (his first and middle initials are all I have) was born in Arkansas approx 1877. He married Pearl Hopkins, also from Arkansas. She is said to be part or full blooded Cherokee. Together they moved to Truckee, Nevada County, CA, where they were found in the 1910 census with their olderst child, Viola Mae. They had two more children, Orville Manuel and Horace Dean. In the early 20's Pearl took the three children and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. From that point on, M.C. was seldom heard from. Thanks!!
