Just a quick note to mention that my brother Jay William Laird and I plan to post an article on the family of James Laird and wife Jane who came to America abt 1736 and settled in Derry T. Lancaster Co., PA. and their documented children in the Feb isssue of "Laird Branches." The children that we have documented are: 1. James Laird married Jean. 2. Mary Laird married 1st William Snoddy 2nd James Ireland. 3. Hugh Laird married Ann. 4. John Laird married Agnes Black. 5. Matthew Laird married 1st Rachel Wilkins 2nd Elizabeth. 6. Capt William Laird married Martha Wilson. 7. Samuel Laird married Mary Young. We hope that by posting this article we will help resolve some of the questions, assumptions and errors that we have seen regarding this family.
