Greetings, Cousins... I just moved from Longview, Texas which is very close to Kilgore (where my chiropractor was..) It was wonderful. For the first time in my life, no one ever had a problem spelling my maiden name. No one bothered to ask.. in the headlines of the Longview newspaper sometimes would be something about Laird Memorial Hospital, and driving down the road I'd see Laird Professional Building and Laird Medical Building and Laird this, Laird that. The family struck oil and became quite wealthy (and I'm SURE I'm related, and that there is a clause in the will that states the first person from my 'missing branch' inherits a huge chunk...)
