The Lairds came to America on the ship The Earl of Hillaborough with the exception of Samuel who was in the colonies before his family arrived. The Lairds arrived in SC ca 1766 and settled in Abbeville, County SC which was a part of District Ninety six. My question is does anyone know from which County in Northern Ireland the Lairds emigrated from. Also can you identify the Townland, Barony or Parish in Northern Ireland.
