Dear Patricia I have sent a detailed fax to The Officer in Waiting at The College of Arms in London about the above and will let you all have a copy of the reply in due course. In the meantime I have found a webpage of the Castle at Aberdour (which is on the opposite side of the Firth of Forth from Edinburgh), though it has no mention of a Count Hlawford in early 1000.
