Lucy, I have been on the L-list for over a year now. Once in a while a speak up, but generally listen. I would like to join the Association. My Laird road block is my Grandfather, Charles T. Laird. He was born in Illinois, in 1875 and married in Knoxville Mo. and later moved to Iowa. The legends say that he ran away from home. Needless to say, his father has been hard to track. I am looking forward to the 1850 census from Ill. Thanks, Ronald E. We do catch up on all the Laird-L news between trips. If anyone is interested in membership in the Laird Family Association, please let us know. There are no dues, and we have an excellent website and newsletter. If you have any questions and/or wish to be included on our membership roll, please drop us a line.
