Yes, you are right, I am aware of the Renfrewshire IGI's and the OPR's and have ploughed my way through them. I have a copy of all of the Renfewshire IGI's which I made about 4 years ago with the intention of trying to put them on to a sortable database. Wonderful idea if I had a few free months which I don't. I am reading T.C. Smout's History of Scotland from 1650 to 1830 - all about the bonnet lairds and so on. If subscribers want a "good read" on Scottish history I would recommend it strongly. By the way Iain, we won't hold it against you for living in England. They need all the help they can get.
