The Jacob Alford family is featured in the Genealogy exhibit in the Armory Building this year. Jacob Alford and his wife, Martha B. (Franky) Seaborn settled in the Mt. Hermon area on the Bogue Chitto river in 1807, when we were still West Florida. They raised a large family and most of their children had large families. If you live in the area of Washington, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa Parish or Walthall, Marion or Pike County, MS and are related to an Alford, you are more than likely related to this family.
