The community just east of the refinery gates was called Dixie and I believe if memory serves me right, the community just south of the refinery was Standard Heights. I could be wrong. I am sure somebody will correct me. It's been so long since I've heard that term. The refinery is buying up all the property between it and the interstate 110 and either tearing down or moving buidlings, to give it more of a buffer between it and the community since the 1989 explosion.
