Alta Zera Williams, born June 19, 1813 in LA; died January 11, 1890 in Bevilport, Jasper County, TX. She was the daughter of William Williams. William Williams had several grown and near-grown children when he came to Bevil's Settlement. The eldest, Stephen, who was called Stephen Jr., married Jane Wilson, daughter of William Wilson, but not until after his brother Richard had married Jane's older sister, Rebecca. Altazera, oldest daughter of William Williams, was the wife of Stephen H. Everitt, and Penelope, the second daughter was James H. Blount's wife. Richard Williams, not to be Confused with his uncle of the same name, lived on his grant on the Sabine River between Bevil's and Hickman's Ferry. He went to Galveston County,before 1850. The Everitts lived southeast of Bevilport on what is now FM 1747. A centennial monument marks the site. She married (1) Stephen Hendrickson Everitt Bef. 1835. He was born November 26, 1806 in Poughkeepsie, Duchess County, NY, and died July 12, 1844 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, LA. She married (2) Randolph Columbus Doom 1847. He was born January 07, 1811 in Caldwell County, KY, and died December 05, 1881. Ron Smith Duncanville, TX (just south of Dallas)
