Surnames: BAILEY/BAILY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DCB.2ACE/127 Message Board Post: In searching the microfilm of British, Spanish and U.S. Land Claims for this part of Louisiana, I've run across a reference to land previously owned by John Baily. It looks like he may have purchased the land in 1776, although I'm still trying to decipher the numbers and language in this document. The land was about a mile and a half north of "the town of Baton Rouge." Is anyone aware of this John Baily in the late 1700's? Thanks, Alexia
