Walters from England, born July 2, 1810, died Oct. 12, 1890, buried in the Buhler-Plains Cemetary in Zachary. He married Sarah McCartney on June 28, 1866. They had nine children: Amelia, James A., Nancy J., Mary A., Eunice, William Jr., Ada, Ruby and Lena. Ruby married Hugh White who worked for Standard Oil in Baton Rouge.
