I know that Alexander HOGUE was one of the founders of Denham Springs and that his daughter Mercy, married William DENHAM in 1828. My gg grandmother was a Mary HOGUE (although HOGANis on her tombstone) who was born Dec. 15, 1805 and died Oct. 18, 1877. She is buried at the Shanks Cemetery off Greenwell Springs Road in East Baton Rouge Parish. She married Daniel SULLIVAN about 1829 and they had 10 children. I would like to know if maybe Mary and Alexander and Mercy are connected. This Daniel is the brother of both Michael and Patrick SULLIVAN, both of whom were Livingston Parish residents, although Patrick moved to EBR Parish and died there. The Sullivan brothers were born in Ireland, supposedly County Wexford. If anyone is researching these families I would love to talk to them and share information. Martha Hardcastle Guthrie
