James served in the Union Army.Married Barbara Polk Jan. 2, 1867, Free man of Color, In 1880 they lived in West Feliciana with eight children (all born in WFP) of which one is my grandfather Elliott Jackson Born Nov. 1875.Ella Ary, Lucinda, Henry, Anna, Ocey and Jennie (twins), I am still trying to find James Parents.
