Posted on: East Baton Rouge Parish La Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/La/EastBatonRouge/107 Surname: Hall, Mourain, Garnheart, Dumoulin, Porche ------------------------- I have several ancestral lines from the Baton Rouge area. Some lived in West Feliciana Parish, and a number of others in Pointe Coupee Parish. My great-great grandparents, Thomas Hall and Louise Rosella Mourain Hall, were from West Feliciana and Pointe Coupee, respectivly. They were married in Pointe Coupee Parish in 1857, but appeared to have lived in Baton Rouge...at least that's where they were buried, she in 1888, and he in 1910. Both are buried in the Catholic Cemetery in downtown Baton Rouge. I've been told that Thomas Hall worked on riverboats, and there is a Thomas Hall listed in the 1860 census as an engineer. I've check to see if he was a Confederate Army veteran, but have had negative results. They had five children, three girls and two boys. One of the girls, Marie Odile Hall, is my great-grandmother. Does anyone know anything of this Hall family?
