Hi, Mr Meeks - Many will know the answer to this, maybe I will write first. Welcome Hall is not standing, it burned down in February 1935. (I have a copy of the article about the fire.) It was near Stonewall. There are a few photos of it; I think the DeSoto Plume is thinking about doing an article about it. There is a page on it in Goodloe Stuck's wonderful book "Heritage Scrapbook - Northwest Louisiana." It is also described in the book "Louisiana Plantation Homes" by W. Darrell Overdyke, at Page 201. If you (or other folks) have info or other background about Col. Edwards and Welcome Hall, will you share them with this page, please? He was a very interesting figure. Thank you.
