My paternal gggrandfather was a John Headrick (1794---95? ?) who came from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia (lived in Union County, Georgia from 1832-1840?). His father was a Caspar Headrick (1762-1837, died in Lumpkin County, Georgia and was born supposedly in Rowan County, North carolina and son of the famed Revolutionary of German descent, Capt. Peter Hedrick). Well, my gggrandfather, John Headrick had a brother Caspar who was listed in the Hall County, Georgia census of 1830 as a "barrelmaker." I don't find him on the 1840 census. He apparently married a Susannah ? (I have her maiden name from the Internet but have misplaced it). He had a younger brother, George Headrick (Hedrick) who married a Rose Ann Martin. The brother of Rose Ann, John Martin, in turned married Mary Hedrick (1808? ?), sister of Caspar and my John Hedrick. My John Hedrick, his brother-in-law John Martin, Rose's brother, aided in the Cherokee Indian Removal from Union County, Georgia, 1838-39 (no personal pride in that fact). My John was married to a Nanc! y? (died after 1870) and they next appear on the 1850 census of Hickman County, Kentucky, and then they moved to Cape Girardeau, Co. Missouri, and then to Cane Creek, Butler County, Missoui. I suspicioned that the Caspar Headrick in Panola County, Texas was John's brother. If they were brothers they also had a sister, Sharlotte Headrick (1818-1904) who married a Dozier Sutton and lived most of her life in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I received some papers from there recently. If I can be of further help please let me know. I live in Ellington, Mo. (address: Warner Conder, P.O. Box 773, Ellington, Mo. 63638) Phone: (573) 663-2257 THANKS!
