I'm doing research on the Hendrix/Hendrick/Hendricks family. My line came from Kentucky to Mississippi to Louisiana, settling in Natchitoches Parish, LA around 1850. My great grandfather, William Howard Hendricks, b 1842 Mississippi d 1919 Texas, married Julia A Gallion in 1865. They moved to Shelby County, TX shortly thereafter, having 7 children, one of whom was John James Percy Hendricks. Percy Hendricks moved to Desoto Parish and married Emma Lou Scott of Pelican, La in 1904. Percy and Emma had seven children, one of whom was my father, James Elvin Hendricks. I was raised in Natchitoches Parish, La. Most of my dad's family were in or near Desoto Parish or Natchitoches Parish, La. William Howard had two sisters, Nancy and M Louisa, that married Kimbros. The Kimbros also settled in Shelby County, TX. I have a website available with my research available on it. The address to the website is: http://www.challengenet.com/hendricks/index.spml Feel free to browse around, look at the surname list there, check out the maps and other documents available there. If you are related to any of the Hendrix/Hendrick/Hendricks on my list, feel free to email me and let's share information. Thanks in advance. Rod
