The only info I know is that he married Mary Idella (Della) Campbell, born in Desoto Parish on 2-13-1871. Sam & Della had 2 children, Charles Elon Lawrence, b 3-28-1895 in Detroit, TX, and my grandfather, Walter Andrew Lawrence, b 5-18-1897 near Clarksville, TX. Sam died some time shortly after that, I believe, and Della married Charlie N. Burns. I have not been able to find any records of Sam and am hoping this is the right one. I thought he was born in Georgia, but may be wrong. I'm excited to finally hopefully have a connection.
