    2. In response You did not give your name unless I missed it. One of my grandfather's sisters married a Powell. Her maiden name was Griffith and her parents were E.J. Griffith and Margaret Jane Pace Griffith and they are buried at Grove Hill. I do believe that his first name was Custis Powell but I am not certain. The Griffiths lived at Pelican at one time so probably this is the same family. Do you have any Griffiths in your line.     2. I have Hart's in a down line that came out of Georgia to DeSoto Par. Richard Jefferson Hart b. 1826 married Epsa Bazer of DeSoto Par. Richard's parents were (according to LDS records) were William Henry Hart and Sarah Granberry Herrington. Warren County, GA 1 Aug. 1842,was the sister of Benjamin B. Powell, and Eliza d. 1 July 1919, b. next to Thomas in Grove Hill. Thomas and Eliza's children: William H. Hart b. 27 Apr. 1886, d. 27 Nov. 1940 Anna Elizabeth Hart b. 1 Jan. 1870, d. 17 Jan. 1942 (Who married John Randolph Mason) Thomas G. My Maternal family surname is Guiton and also Thomas. Oral history has my maternal line coming from GA. Don't know if this will be of any help. I called the Desoto Parish Tourism Commission and they assisted me in finding someone who knew the location of Hazelwood Cemetery. I also found the location of the Sample Road in Desoto Parish from someone who lived in California. I appreciate everyone's kindness.

A Baptist church, Old Hazelwood founded in 1850 (no longer in existence}might have been located on this road in Grand Cane LA and there is an existing cemetery Old Hazelwood that I am trying to locate. Can anyone who knows this area in Desoto Parish LA help me with directions to this road or does anyone know of the location of this cemetery. Thank you.
