She was my best friend at Stanley High School .......she contacted me not many months ago & said you were doing some work on the web, relating to our old schools in Desoto Parish. I sure hated it when they burned the ole Stanley School, better known to some as Oak Grove High. That was a great place to grow up & I have many happy memories from SHS.Did you find the Lula School on Austin Smiths family page. He was also in touch with me, his family lived right across the highway from my family & he married one of my sisters best friends, Judy Murphy!

I would like some info on her if you have it.Isaiah & Josephine's son Edgar had a son named Jack who is still living, he has been in contact with me & would love to have more info on this family. Jul 14, 1903. Bud married Barbara Ellen Liles, & they had one child, my mother, Faye Fern Bazer. So, guess we are cousins! They were all from De Soto Parish, La, & thats were I grew up. Where are you from?

    2. Hello, I'm looking for information about GROOMS, BRANTLEY, MIDDLETON Lucinda GROOMS, b. 1815 GA. Had son named Henry GROOMS in Russell Co., AL ca 1836. She married Henry BRANTLEY, 7/28/1844, and moved to Wilcox Co., AL. Henry BRANTLEY and Lucy with children are on 1850 Wilcox Co., census. Henry died 1860, Wilcox Co. A daughter, Adrianna, married Stephen MIDDLETON, Monroe Co. AL. 1867. In 1888, Lucy moved to Many, Sabine Parish, LA where she died in 1890. I hope to get a scanner for my birthday {this month}. I will do my best to put them all on the screen.
