Cleveland Fruge'. ------------------------------- Judge Albin P. Lassiter was appointed on October 16, 1970, to fill the vacancy left by Judge Jesse S. Heard when he took the oath as Judge of the Second Circuit Court of Appeal on October 12, 1970. The Judge was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, and was educated in the Rapides Parish Schools. He received his B.A. degree in 1927 from Tulane University, and his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane in 1929. He was District Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District from 1954 to 1970. Judge Lassiter is married to the former Dell Warren and they are the parents of two sons: Perry Lassiter, who is Pastor of the First Baptist Church at Many, Louisiana; and William Lassiter, who is a teacher in the Ouachita Parish School System in West Monroe, Louisiana. The Judge is a member of the American Bar Association; Louisiana State Bar Association; American Judicature Society; Fourth Judicial District Bar Association; Rotary Club; Masonic Lodge; and Parkview Baptist Church, Monroe, Louisiana.
