From: October 31, 1952 Winnfield News-American Last Rites Held For Brother Of Gorhamtown Man Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the James Cemetery near Sikes for Walter S. McDavid, 73, who died October 26, 1952 at the home of his daughter in Urania. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Bernice Dyess of Olla and interment was under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. McDavid was a native of Mississippi and a member of the Beech Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, a son, Charlie McDavid of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Clemmie Meredith of Olla and Mrs. Eva McBroom of Urania; two brothers, Zeke McDavid of Gorhamtown and Will McDavid of Bentley; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. --------------89E8A496181BFF7EB688BAA4--
