From: August 5 or 12, 1948 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites Held August 11 For Joe Chandler, Texas Funeral services for Joe Chandler of West Texas, who died of a heart attack near Cypress Creek about 10 o'clock Monday night, were held at the Gansville Cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. C. M. Robinson and Rev. Waynon H. Mott officiating. Burial was in Gansville Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Chandler was driving his car at the time he suffered the heart attack. He stopped his car and died within a few minutes after he had stepped out of the car. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Shively Chandler, one four year old daughter, a four month old son; his mother, Mrs. Jim Chandler of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Lovie Taylor, Cypress Creek, and Mrs. Lee Roy Shively, Winnfield; two brothers, Woodrow Chandler of Winnfield and Leonard Chandler of Shreveport; two half-brothers, Charley Chandler, Winnfield, and Arthur Chandler of Cypress Creek; three half-sisters, Mrs. M.
