From: November 21, 1952 Winnfield News-American Eugene Wheat, 76, Of Montgomery, Dies on Saturday Eugene Wheat, 76, of Montgomery, died in a Pineville hospital shortly after arrival there on Saturday, Nov. 15, 1952 as the result of a heart disease. Funeral services were conducted at the Union Grove Church at 2 p.m. Sunday with interment in the Union Grove Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Mike Wheat of New Orleans, Sgt. George B. Wheat of Fort Worth, and Melvin Wheat of Montgomery; two daughters, Mrs. Eugenia Desemare of New Orleans and Mrs. Eula Lewis of Montgomery; three brothers, J. J. Wheat of Montgomery, T. R.
