From: August 25, 1949 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites For M. D. Guynes, 47, Held Tuesday Funeral services for Marion D. Guynes, 47, of Baton Rouge, were held at the Winnfield First Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, with the Rev. Hogan Hunter of Baton Rouge, officiating. Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Guynes died of a heart attack Sunday, August 21, at the residence of his brother, G. D. Guynes, in Williana. He had come here to visit hie mother, Mrs. G. R. Guynes, who is seriously ill in the Winnfield General Hospital. Born in Grant Parish, Mr. Guynes had made his home in Baton Rouge for many years, where he was owner and manager of a tractor company. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Guynes of Baton Rouge; two sons, Ralph of Dayton, Ohio, and Raymond, of Baton Rouge; one brother, G. D. Guynes of Williana; and his mother, Mrs. G. R. Guynes of Williana. Pallbearers were Latnie Brewton, George Tannehill, and E. J. Buchanan of Winnfield, and J. G. Rogillio, C. E. Brane, and G. E.
