From: October 10, 1952 Winnfield News-American Riffie Harrell, 53, Former Winnfield Resident Succumbs Rites Held Saturday At Ruston; Interment In Simsboro Cemetery Riffie Harrell, 53, of Simsboro, former Winnfield resident, died at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 1952 in a Ruston hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, with interment in the Simsboro Cemetery. Mr. Harrell, a son of the late Eli Harrell of Winnfield, and a step-son of Mrs. Emma Harrell who now resides here, left Winnfield in 1931. He was employed by the American Railway Express agency until failing health forced his retirement about a year ago. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vado Jones Harrell; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Lee Penny of Krotz Springs and Mrs. Nelda Flennigan of Monroe; six brothers, Paul Harrell of New Orleans and Eli, Hovey, Pat, Jimmie, and Marvin Harrell of Winnfield and his step-mother, Mrs. Emma Harrell of Winnfield. --------------A8D94ED31E0A7582400C939B--
