From: October 31, 1952 Winnfield News-American Former Resident of Wheeling Dies In Pineville at 88 Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, for James W. Harris, who died in Pineville on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1952 at the age of 88 years, four months, and 16 days. Rites were conducted at the Hargis Baptist Church on Route 1, Montgomery, by the Rev. Dyess, pastor of Montgomery Pentecostal Church, assisted by the Revs. Grafton Shaw, Huey Bazar, and Leo Shaw. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Bazar of Montgomery, a son, J. C. Harris of Iran, Va., 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Mr. Harris was born in Doson, Ga., June 6, 184, but spent most of his life in New Orleans and once lived in the Wheeling Community. --------------EBBB902D4901D416AE2D3DA3--
