From: August 5, 1946 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Of Mrs. L. C. Carpenter Monday, July 26 Funeral services for Mrs. L. C. Carpenter, 59, who died in the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria, Sunday, July25, after a long illness, were held Monday afternoon, July 26, at the New Hope Church, with the Rev. Calvin Robinson in charge of the services. He was assisted by the Rev. W. C. Bounds and Rev. Rev. Lester Rhymes. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, James Blackburn, Bill Skains, James Skains, R. D. Skains, Jr., Ottice Berry, Moses Berry, and Howard Berry. Surviving are her husband, L. C. Carpenter; one daughter, Mrs. Clayton White, Dodson, Route One; three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Blackburn, Houston, Texas; Mrs. W. R. Berry, Winnfield; Mrs. L. D.
