Dear Terry, This is very strange. My father's family is Underwood. We might possibly be related to Bud Underwood. But the relatives who lived in Claiborne Parish LA were named Thomas H. Holcomb (b. 10 Jan. 1823, died 18 Jan. 1864) and his wife Matilda Gwin (b. 28 Nov. 1827, d. 18 Jul. 1888). Their daughter (my ggrandmother) Miranda Louisiana Holcomb was born 10 June 1858 in Claiborne Parish, but then died in Terrell, Texas 26 May 1905. It is confusing to me because I didn't even know we had Underwoods in Claiborne Parish! Bud sounds like a cool guy to me.
