He married Eliza Sims in Russell Co., Ala in 1847. Hiram was born Dec. 25, 1825 in Georgia, I believe. Both he and Eliza settled in Claiborne Parish and are both buried in Colquitt Cemetery, outside of Haynesville, LA, Claiborne Parish. I am searching for Hiram"s parents. I am thinking his father could have been a John, Sr. or John, Jr. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Betty O. Davis
