Perhaps the Moncrief's were Baptist, as some of the Moncrief's were buried in Baptist cemeteries. I have a feeling I will need to spend at least a day or two in the area to go through the various records available for research, in order to have a clear picture of the intertwined families we share. So far, I know the two religions for "my" families are Baptist and Methodist. Wouldn't you know, there are Churches located literally across the street from each other...Baptist and Methodist... Our kinfolks must have had a time hoot'in and holler'in at each other, back and forth... Cousin Truman told me of a story about swapping babies from one cart to another- uhm...not so much on the up and up, during the progressive Church meetings they had back then...I need to ask him if the swaps were for real, or as a whim? All I know is the Green(e) family has as a MAJOR trait, a fantastic sense of humor and fun. So, needless to say, one never knows if the current situation at hand is indeed, authentic or just for fun. Keeps you on your toes, and young! I'll keep you informed of what I find out. Cousin Lisa
