I am searching for a very elusive relative, William B. Gambill/Gamble who died in 1866 I believe in Bossier Parish, LA at the home of his sister, Sarah Gambill Larkin. I cannot find an obit, cemetery listing, anything on him, and I find it strange because the succession papers that Sarah filed after his death estimated his worth at over $25,000...quite a sum at that time. He owned a place that was a general store, I assume, called the Store, but the sale of all of the items are listed but not the actual location. He left no immediate heirs other than siblings. I believe that I have found him in the 1840 and 1850 Clairborne Parish census. I did find a W.B. Gumble listed as merchant in the 1860 Bossier Parish census, born in TN. I thank you in advance for any time and effort that you can give.
