1870 marriage record of Winship Capers Connor and Tullora Fannie Cornelius (daughter of Dr. Matthias Cornelius and Elizabeth A. Lewis). Now, mind you I'm not saying if they are there, BUT, I have found about 85% of my Claiborne family's marriages in Union Co and Columbia Co., Arkansas. And you are in luck to look. I spent over 5 years transcribing the Union County Marrriages and they are on USGENWEB in the Arkansas/Union Co. Archives. Try there. I have posted a few hundred for Columbia Co , also at USgenweb. No promises, but, take a look. I asked my grandmother why almost everyone got married in Union County and she said it was because you could get your farmwork done in the morning, pack a lunch and take a train to Union Co and get back in time to finish up your chores. Other coice was to walk, ride a horse, borrow a buggy, wagon and take most of the day to get to and from the Homer Court House. My families were mostly in Haynesville. Ley
