By the mid-1830's they were living in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Jacob is listed as head of household in 1840. Rhody Miller (age 59 born in NC) is head of household in 1850 with 6 children and 3 grandchildren with surname Bassett. The Bassett grandchildren are: Julia m. James Radcliffe/Ratcliff, Burnett E. m. Sarah Mask, Catherine m. L.P. Crossland. Burnett was listed as a Claiborne Parish school teacher/tutor at one time. Catherine and L.P. Crossland are buried at Hurricane Cemetery.
