Hello, I may have information on some of the surnames that you mentioned. While working in graduate school, ran across a valuable document, "The Removal of the Negroes from the Southern States to the Northern States." The document focusses on Henry Adams, (Civil War veteran) from Caddo Parish, LA. In the document it list several names of Americans, both white and black in several northern Louisiana parishes. Most of the information deals with crimes/acts of violence. I did notice a few of your surnames: George Brown of Caddo Parish; Nathan Williams of Bossier Parish; Sam Williams of Claiborne Parish; and James Hill of Claiborne Parish.
