Hello, I am researching Charlie/Charley Ham and Mary (Canada) Ham of Homer, Louisiana. They eventually left Louisiana and ended up in Arkansas. I found them in the 1900 census I believe in Arkansas. I have been unable to find them in the census in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. Is there anyone who may also be researching the "Ham" and/or "Canada/Canady" surname of Claiborne Parish or any other parish in Louisiana. I am African-American. I would also be interested in anyone researching any white "Ham" or "Canada/Canady" surnames of Louisiana. Has anyone come across any slaveowners or planters with the Ham or Canada/Canady surnames? If so, please let me hear from you. Thanks, Penny
