Kimbell, Jr. or Sr.? The family is listed in the 1870 Fed Census. Email me privately and I will be happy to give you all the information I have found to date. They had a boat load of kids, I can't remember if they were in Summerfield or Lisbon, my documents are at home. Also, Ben F. Kimbell and his wife Fannie are listed in a book of cemetery listings I located at the Union Parish Library. They are buried at Alabama-Weldon Cemetery in Union Parish, LA. B.F. Kimbell, Sr. - b. Apr 9, 1828 and died Apr 3, 1889 Fannie A. Kimbell - b. Oct 1, 1832 and died Aug 4, 1898 I now see by the dates that you are referring to Jr. I also have a few Land Deeds I located at the Claiborne Parish County Clerk's Office for B.F. Franklin. His family originated in Georgia and came to Louisiana. They lived in a town my dad refers to as "Kimbell Town", which I believe is now probably Summerfield, Louisiana. Benjamin worked at the cotton gin there. In December of 1918, he fell into the cotton gin and died. I am looking for any info on his family.

I don't know how many people are on this list, probably hundreds. Each one gets a separate copy of each message; a single useless line may get replicated hundreds of times. In the case Bob mentions, it would have made sense for those replying to do so "off list", directly to the poster. It seems that much excessive quoting is due to inexperience editing. I encourge all to learn to use your editing software; like touch typing, it is a skill that will serve you well in the future. While I'm up here on this soap box, may I address the html problem? Most mail programs come configured to send messages in html format. HTML messages are typically three times the size of the exact same messages in plain text format. I suspect some sinister plot plot by microsoft to bog down the internet and convince folks that they need new software. Anyway, consider turning off html in your mail program. -- Onward! Hi, I'm looking for information about my mother's biological father with an extremely limited amount of information. His name was Robert Sterling Moore and he was married to Marilym June Wood in most likely 1954 in Greenville, MS. He was believed to have worked as an auto mechanic in Homer, La. (Claiborne Parish) but they resided in Magnolia, Arkansas. Unfortunately, that is all the information that we have been able to attain. Any help is greatly appreciated (any information on beginning genealogy is greatly appreciated also) thanks for your time, Perry Elliott
